Using the device correctly
Warning! Maintain a mini-
mum clearance of 15 meters
between the bar nose and electric
power lines. Electricity can jump
considerable distances by means
of arcing. Higher voltage increases
the distance electricity can arc.
Have the power switched off be-
fore starting cutting work in the
immediate vicinity of power lines.
Look over the working area and re-
move any obstructions.
Before starting work, check the
safety of the power tool (see "Be-
fore each use").
Pick up the power tool in both
hands as specified.
Switch the pole chain saw on be-
fore starting the cut.
Apply a uniform pressure to the
unit, however not excessive force.
After use
Stop the engine.
Wait until all rotating parts have
come to a standstill.
Remove the battery.
Place guide bar cover on cutting
mechanism.
Leave power tool to cool down.
Warning! The saw chain con-
tinues to operate briefly after
the On/Off switch is released.
Caution! Always switch the
motor off before you put the
power tool down!

Danger! Stand on uphill side
when cutting! Log may roll.
Push stroke sawing
With this technique the upper side of
the guide bar saws from bottom to
top. The saw chain pushes the power
tool backwards towards the user.
Pull stroke sawing
With this technique the underside of
the guide bar saws from top to bot-
tom.
