Automatic TTL fill-in flash mode
If TTL mode is set on the flash unit, then
several models of camera switch automatic-
ally in daylight to TTL fill-in flash mode (see
camera manual).
This variation of TTL control can prevent inter-
fering shadows and results in balanced expo-
sure of both the main subject as well as the
background of the picture for shots taken
against background light. To do this, a suitable
combination of shutter speed, aperture and
(reduced) flash output are used.
Please note:
• Make sure that no secondary light sources
shine directly into the lens. This will confuse
the camera's TTL measuring system.
• There is no setting or display for automatic
TTL fill-in flash in the flash unit.
