Be careful not to connect the battery in reverse polarity, as this will short
circuit the battery charging system. Always connect the positive (+)
battery cable to the battery terminal before connecting the negative (–)
battery cable, so your tools cannot cause a short circuit if they touch a
grounded part while tightening the positive (+) battery cable end.
A battery can explode if you do not follow the correct
procedure, seriously injuring anyone nearby.
Keep all sparks, open flames, and smoking materials away
from the battery.
The battery contains sulfuric acid (electrolyte), which is
highly corrosive and poisonous.
Getting electrolyte in your eyes or on your skin can cause
serious burns.
Wear protective clothing and eye protection when working
near the battery.
KEEP CHILDREN AWAY FROM THE BATTERY.
WARNING: Battery posts, terminals, and related accessories contain lead
and lead compounds. Wash hands after handling.
