The DA 3i may only be used as a control unit for the
restorative drying of different types of screed or flat
roofs using the suction method . The unit comprises
a case which houses the valves, the controls and the
adapter connecting pieces and a moisture sensor
with an adapter that can be inserted into the specially
designed holder during transport . When the unit is in
operation, the adapter is used to connect the sensor
to a quad distributor at the compressor .
The moisture sensor may not, under any circumstan-
ces, come into contact with water!
Do not use as a worktop or surface to rest objects on
or as a stool, step or substitute for a ladder .
The DA 3i MultiQube DA 3 can be used together with
all conventional compressor models to carry out
restorative drying . It is also perfectly matched for use
with the Trotec MultiQube modules like the VE 4, WA
4, WA 4i, WA 6 and VE 6 .
The DA 3i is designed to distribute the vacuum cur-
rent efficiently to the core drill holes, which is why the
unit is equipped with a moisture senor . The suction
current of the DA 3i can dry areas where moisture
levels vary significantly after water damage has oc-
curred in a fraction of the time it would normally take
for these areas to dry .
The DA 3i flow rate control unit is placed between the
water separator and the core drill holes . The device
does not filter water, solid particles, fine dusts or other
small particles . Such foreign substances do not in any
way affect the way the device works .
m
Any foreign substances with a diameter of
more than 15 mm can clog or block the valves.
the drill hole must therefore be cleaned tho-
roughly before drying is carried out. this can
be done using an industrial vacuum cleaner.
The DA 3i does not have any defined inlets or outlets .
The hoses may therefore be connected to either side
of the device .

Please ensure that the hoses are connected properly to
the inlets and outlets . The system is not leak tight if the
hoses are not properly connected to the DA 3i's alumi-
nium adapters . This can quickly lead to a drop in perfor-
mance . In the worst case, water can escape through the
connected hoses and cause extensive water damage .
Only use hoses with smooth and elastic inner surfaces
or spiral hoses with matching, specially designed clip
collars .
The DA 3i flow rate control unit can control 3 core drill
holes directly . You can use T and Y pieces and other
distributors to increase the number of core drill holes .
Please make sure that the core drill holes that are
controlled by one channel are close together .
When using the MultiQube elements, please ensure that
any standing water in the core drill holes is suctioned off
before commencing with the drying operation . This will
result in faster drying times and help speed up the water
damage restoration process .
All three channels of the DA 3i must be open otherwi-
se the device will not work properly and the connected
compressor turbine can be damaged .
The DA 3i is NOT approved for use in explosion-prone
rooms and atmospheres .
The DA 3i may only be operated by trained and skilled
personnel who have been instructed in the use of the
device and who have been trained in the use of resto-
rative drying technology . This user guide should also be
consulted . Schooled persons are those persons who
have been instructed which tasks they are to perform
and who have been informed of the potential dangers
which can develop if the device is not used properly or
the purpose for which it was intended . Such persons
should receive proper training if necessary .
Any repair or maintenance work on electric parts may
only be carried out by electrically qualified personnel .
Operating manual – DA 3i Flow Rate Control Unit
All three inlets and all three outlets must be
connected and in use.
If the compressor is switched off, the DA 3i
must also be switched off.
