Switching on and Operation
Make sure that all the safety precautions have been fulfilled.
Turn the Baby Heater to the required angle.
Insert the plug into the earthed socket. By now pulling on the pull switch, you will switch on the
device. The indicator light will now light up.
For considerations of safety, the baby heater will automatically switch off after 10 minutes; in that
case, the indicator light will still be illuminated. If you then wish to switch off the baby heater, pull the
pull switch once: the indicator light will now no longer be illuminated. Then remove the plug from the
socket.
If you wish to switch the Baby Heater on again once the device has switched itself off, pull the pull
switch twice; the device will continue to operate (again for 10 minutes).
You can switch the Baby Heater off at any time by pulling the pull switch once. Don't forget to remove
the plug from the socket!
Extra precautions
After having been in operation for 10 minutes, the Baby Heater will automatically switch off for
safety reasons and if you wish to use the heater for longer, you can switch it back on again by
pulling the pull switch.
The heat lamp is equipped with a special safety screen to ensure that, should the lamp ever
shatter on account of either internal or external causes (which in principle is almost impossible if
you follow the safety instructions), no glass shards can fly off.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Keep the heater clean. Switch off the heater, remove the plug from the socket and allow the heater to
cool down before cleaning or carrying out maintenance work.
Wipe the outside of the heater regularly with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use aggressive
soaps, sprays, cleaners or abrasives, waxes, polishes or chemical solutions!
Using a vacuum cleaner, carefully remove any dust and dirt from the grills and ensure that the air
intake and outlet openings are clean. Be careful not to touch or damage any internal parts during
cleaning!
The heater contains no other parts which need maintenance.
At the end of the season, store the cleaned heater in the original packaging if necessary. Store it
upright in a cool, dry and dust-free place.
Do not dispose of heater with household waste when it becomes worn or damaged beyond
repair. Take it to your local authority's collection point for electrical appliances where any reusable
materials will be collected and redistributed.
Drill 2 holes at the indicated spot using an 8-
mm drill bit and insert the plugs (which are
supplied) into the holes.
Now screw the wall holder into the wall
using the two screws. Check that the baby
heater is immovably attached. Finally,
replace the plastic cap over the wall holder;
4 clicks show that it has been correctly
attached.
