Risk of electric shock
Only connect and operate the appliance in
accordance with the information on the rating
plate.
Keep children away from the appliance.
Do not use if the power cable or appliance
show signs of damage.
Unplug the appliance after each use or in the
event of a fault.
To prevent damage, the appliance may only be
repaired by members of our after sales
service, e.g. replacement of a damaged power
cable.
Do not let the power cable:
- come into contact with hot parts
- be pulled over sharp edges
- be used to carry the appliance.
Do not place the base or jug on or near hot
surfaces, e.g. oven hotplates.
Keep an eye on the electric kettle at all
times during operation.

Important
Only use jug 1 with base 7 marked
CTWK1.
Fill the electric kettle with water only. Milk or
instant products, for example, burn onto and
damage the appliance.
Do not overfill jug 1 or operate it without water;
observe the min and max marks.

Risk of scalding
The electric kettle is hot during operation and
remains hot for some time afterwards. For this
reason, only hold the appliance by the handle
and only open lid 2 when it has cooled.
Before first use
Unwind the power cable from integrated
S
cable storage 8 to the length required and
connect to the mains.
Fill jug 1 twice with clean water and allow
S
the water to boil each time to clean the jug
thoroughly.
Add a table spoon of vinegar before the
S
first boil.
Boiling water
Add fresh water through the spout or
S
opened lid 2 (press lid opening button 3).
Read the water level against the scale on
S
the jug. Observe the min and max marks.
Engage lid 2 to close and place jug 1 on
S
base 7.
Slide on/off switch 4 forwards, indicator
S
light 5 lights up and the water begins to
boil after a short while.
The electric kettle switches off auto
S
matically once the water has boiled and
the indicator light goes out.
