Operation
Starter cord assembly (fig. B6/B7/B8)
Lift and hold operator presence bail arm B6/B7 (1). Pull the starter rope slowly to the holding bracket, and twist the cord through
the holder (B8). lways remove the starter cord from the holder before folding the mower handles.
Oil Fill (fig. B1)
Fill crankcase with quality oil HD S E 15-W40 up to the mark „Full" on dipstick. (Do not overfill.) Capacity approx. 0,6 litre. Screw
in dipstick according to illus.
Filling with Petrol (fig. B2)
Do not smoke - no naked flames! Switch off engine. void spilling petrol when engine is warm. Use „low-octane petrol" (do not
use Super Plus). void petrol spillage. Do not inhale vapour.
ttaching of grassbox (fig. B3)
Lift deflector lid, locate grassbox hook into opening of chassis (see arrow) and replace lid.
Use of heigth adjustment (fig. B4)
Only when mower is stationary and rotating blade has come to complete standstill.
Place hand into handle bar and depress button ( ). Lift or lower chassis until it engages into required position (´B).
Selection of Cutting height
If possible, mow when grass is dry in order to protect turf. Do not set cutting position too low when mowing very tall or wet grass. We
recommend an average cutting height of 4,5 cm.
The "QuickStart" is activated when first placing in service or after repair work with start variants 1 and 2. Once the motor
is running, it can always be started thereafter with the "QuickStart". Deactivation must be carried out before repair work
and before storage, for safety reasons. See the chapter on maintenance in this regard.
Start the machine on a level surface, not in tall grass if possible.
Note: The safety key is removable (protects against unintended starting, fig. B5, 1).
ctivating QuickStart with start variant 1 (fig. B5/B6/B7/B8)
1. Firmly press the primer on the motor three times (B5)
2. Turn safety key (B5, ) to the "RUN" position
3. Press red button (B6/B7 B) and keep it depressed
4. Lift the safety frame (B6/B7, 1) and hold it in place
5. Release red button (B6/B7, B)
6. Pull starter rope (B8, C): The motor is running
7. Stopping the motor: Release safety frame (B6/B7, 1)
8. When leaving and storing the device: Turn safety key (B5, ) to the position "Lock & Remove" and remove.
ctivating QuickStart with start variant 2 (fig. B5/B6/B7/B8)
1. Turn safety key (B5, ) to the "RUN" position
2. Pull start rope 7x all the way through to its stop
3. Firmly press the primer on the motor three times (B5)
4. Press red button (B6/B7 B) and keep it depressed
5. Lift the safety frame (B6/B7, 1) and hold it in place The motor is running
6. Release red button (B6/B7, B)
7. Stopping the motor: Release safety frame (B6/B7, 1)
8. When leaving and storing the device: Turn safety key (B5, ) to the position "Lock & Remove" and remove.
QuickStart (fig. B5/B6/B7/B8)
Only if motor start has previously been executed via start variants 1 or 2
1. Firmly press the primer on the motor (B5) three times (only for a cold start)
2. Turn safety key (B5, ) to the "RUN" position
3. Press red button (B6/B7 B) and keep it depressed
4. Lift the safety frame (B6/B7, 1) and hold it in place The motor is running
5. Release red button (B6/B7, B)
6. Stopping the motor: Release safety frame (B6/B7, 1)
7. When leaving and storing the device: Turn safety key (B5, ) to the position "Lock & Remove" and remove.
Note: The startup noise during QuickStart is caused by the system.
Wheel drive - Esprit 46 TM (fig. B7)
1. Wheel drive on: Slowly lift drive frame (B7, 2) to the stop and then hold.
2. Wheel drive off: Release drive frame (B7, 2).
Mowing (fig. B9)
lways mow using throttle lever setting Power. Mow with throttle lever on „Betrieb" position. Start engine with mower placed on level and firm
ground. Turn mower on lawn area already mown. Do not leave mower standing with engine running for longer than absolutely necessary.
Emptying of Grassbox
The grassbox is full and should be emptied as soon as grass clippings remain uncollected on the ground behind your mower.
Fixing of handle
TTENTION! Take care that the switch cable does not become caught and crused when fol-ding the handle frame (fig. M1/M2/M3).
Maintenance
Maintenance/Cleaning/Changing blade/Changing oil
Before maintenance and cleaning work, changing blade and storage, pull out the sparkplug connector and deactivate
"Quick Start" (de-tension starter spring):
1. Remove sparkplug connector
2. Turn safety key (fig. B5, ) to the "RUN" position
3. Lift the safety frame (B6/B7, 1) and hold it in place The starter spring will de-tension automatically.
4. Turn safety key (B5, ) to the position "Lock & Remove" and remove.
B, check oil level with mower standing on level ground.
