Seal maintenance
Several parts of the Oral Dispenser are sealed using an o-ring. The picture below shows the locations of the
different o-rings (photo 7).
Most of these are static seals and do not need to be replaced periodically.
Only o-ring G on the piston of the Oral Dispenser needs to be replaced after every 12,000 treatments.

To replace the o-ring on the piston, the piston housing of the Oral Dispenser must be disassembled.
It is recommended that this is done after the system has been flushed and the reservoir emptied of any rinsing
fluid.
The piston housing is mounted on the air cylinder by means of four bolts. Once these have been unscrewed,
the piston housing complete with reservoir can be removed from the Oral Dispenser (photo 8a, 8b and 8c).
The o-ring can now be replaced by pulling it off the piston with a pair of tweezers and fitting the new o-ring
in its place. Apply a little silicone spray to allow the piston housing to fit back over the piston easily and to
extend the life of the o-ring (photo 9a, 9b and 9c).
Mount the piston housing and reservoir exactly as they were before. It is important to ensure that the hose
connection on the piston housing points to the left or right. If this is not done, the non-return valve inside
may not seal properly and the Oral Dispenser will not give the correct dosage.
