5. Installation electrical
E1 Disconnect the 12 V and 230 V supply from
the battery and the electricity supply.
Working with the electrical installa-
tion without previously disconnect-
ing the electricity supply may cause
danger to your life!
E2 Choose a suitable installation place for both
basic stations, such as the storage area
under seats close to the battery box. The
installation can be made on the floor or
against the wall. When installing on the wall,
the cable connections must always be at the
bottom. When selecting the place, make sure
that the Master Basic Station can be conven-
iently accessed from the outside, in case you
have to use the cable for the remote control.
Now fix the Basic Stations with each 4
screws.
For the connection of the Basic Stations,
please drill 4 holes, each, each with a diame-
ter of 6 mm, into the vehicle floor. Make sure
that there are no installations or supporting
parts in or below the floor, in the area of the
drillings. Place the cables through the holes.
Remove the housing lid of the Basic Stations
by loosening the 4 Phillips screws.
E3 Now lay the 6 mm² cables of the left and right
drive units to the Basic Stations.
For the installation and fixing of the cables
please use the clamps provided, which are
part of the delivery. As a protection against
sharp edges, please use suitable electrical
insulation sleeves, which are available in
special shops. Mark the cables for the left and
the right drive units. The cable for the left and
the right drive units should be the same
length. Avoid loops. If possible, install the +
and the - cable separately, with a space be-
tween them.
Keep both cable lengths as short as possible.
Now cut the cables to correct length and from
the ends remove approx. 5 mm of the insula-
tion. Fix the ring connectors by use of crimp-
ing pliers.
Make sure that they are properly fixed!
Mount the cables as shown in the wiring dia-
gram
.
You can recognize the positive pole on the
GB6
motor by the red coated rivet on the connect-
ing clamp.
E4 Now lay the 10 mm² cables from the basic
stations to the battery. The isolation switch
is to mount into the plus (+) line. The switch
should be accessible from outside. We rec-
ommend you to place it in the battery box
storage compartment. As a protection against
sharp edges, please use electrical installation
sleeves, which you can purchase in special
shops. The distance between battery and
Basic Stations should never exceed the
length of the enclosed cables. The shorter the
cables, the better.
The (150A) strip fuse in the positive (+) line
must be installed before the main switch in
direction towards the battery.
If the (150A) fuse has tripped, always replace
with an identical one.
Make sure that you never exchange
the Positive (+) and Negative (-) of
the electricity supply!
Make sure that all cables are installed
properly, solidly and without any
friction.
Carefully seal any holes with suitable
sealing material, from the inside and
the outside.
E5 Fix the housing lids of the Basic Stations.
Mount the antenna cable in accordance with
the notes on the Master Basic Station. If the
radio signal reception is poor, then you extend
the antenna to 54 cm. The cable should be
taken outside the vehicle taking care that the
aerial does not come into contact with any
metal parts.
E6 Connect the master and the slave basic sta-
tion according to the connection plan using
the master-slave cable, which effects the
mutual control and synchronisation of the two
basic stations.
E7 Now connect the 10 + 16 mm² cables to the
battery. The electrical installation is now
completed.
