4. Installation mechanical
M5 Stabilizer bars
ATTENTION!
The length of the stabilizer bar has to be adjusted
to the vehicle in accordance with the mounting
dimensions given under
If the stabilizer bar does not enter in the square
axle of the drive unit for at least 300 mm, you
must use an extended stabilizer bar. Otherwise
the optimal function cannot be guaranteed.
If the enclosed stabilizer bars are too long, they
must be shortened correspondingly.
Determine the exact centre of the stabilizer bars
and mark it.
Push the stabilizer bar into the rectangular tube
of the already installed drive unit.
Lead the unassembled drive unit over the other
end of the stabilizer bar and fasten this drive unit
at the vehicle frame as described below M3/M4.
Screw the nuts only "hand-tight".
Now centralise the stabilizer bar and tighten its
binding bolts by hand.
M6 Distance drive units - tyres.
Now set the correct distance between the drive
units and the tyres.
ATTENTION!
For adjusting the distance the wheel must be
under full load and that the caravan must stand
on a flat underground. The distance between tyre
tread and friction rollers must be approximately 15
mm. Make sure that be the drive units are in the
disconnected position
Use the little wooden block as a measure 8.

(= OFF).
M7 Fixing
Use a suitable torque wrench for fixing of all
screws and nuts.
Now fasten the bolts with 25 Nm to fix the stabi-
lizer and secure the bolts with the locknuts.
Make sure that the centre of the stabilizer, which
you marked, is still in the centre below the cara-
van or trailer.
Now fasten the clamp-fastenings of the right and
the left drive unit with 30 Nm.
Please make sure that the distance between the
drive rollers and the tyres has not changed and it
is still 15 - 20 mm.
Mount the protection clamps or the clamp

being included in the delivery scope
in front of and behind the left and right clamping-
fastenings. The clamp strap is used, if the dis-
tance plates have been installed, and it replaces a
protection clamp.
The protection clamps or the clamp strap are an
additional protection against slipping of the drive
unit at the vehicle frame.
The protection clamps and the clamp-strap are an
additional protection against the moving of the
drive units along the vehicle chassis.
Using only one bolt per protection clamp, fasten
with 30 Nm.
M8 Installation of the synchronous
bars
Mount the small shrinkage tube at the end of the
synchronous bar (without drilling). It serves the
sound damping.
Shove the teles-copying synchronous bars into
each other.
The holes for the mountage must be at the out-
side. Fasten the clamp to the support of the syn-
chronous bar as much as possible in the middle
of the stabilizer bar.
Shove the synchronous bar through the clamp
and fasten the little bar by means of the enclosed
screw and nut at the spindle. Mount the second
shrinkage tube in height of the clamp on the big
bar now. Mount the big synchronous bar at the
other spindle.
