1) Open the lamp compartment [(5) in fig. 1]: loosen
the two black screws at the lower side of the unit,
and remove the cover plate of the lamp compart-
ment.
2) When replacing the lamp, carefully draw the old
lamp out of the lamp holder.
3) To avoid impurities of the new lamp by skin grease,
it should not be touched with the fingers but with a
soft cloth. Insert the new lamp: place the pin socket
of the lamp into the lamp holder.
4) Reposition the cover plate and tightly close the
lamp compartment with the two screws.
4.2 Kaleidoscope (model LE-312)
For model LE-312 one halogen lamp of 24 V/250 W,
socket GX 5,3 is required (e. g. 24/250MR by "img
Stage Line"). For replacing the lamp see also fig. 3.
1) Open the lamp compartment [(5) in fig. 2]: loosen
the two black screws (c), and carefully take out the
plate with the lamp support.
2) For a lamp replacement draw off the lamp holder (b)
downwards, and draw the old lamp out of the lamp
support (a) (see fig. 3).
3) Slide the new lamp carefully into the lamp support
(a), and place the lamp holder (b) onto the pin
socket of the lamp.
4) Reposition the plate with the lamp support and fix it
with the two screws (c) at the unit.
5 Mounting
1) Fix the unit via the mounting bracket (2) with a sup-
port for light radiating units or a stable mounting
screw at the desired place (traverse of a stand for
light radiating units or horizontal bar).
2) For aligning the unit loosen the setscrews (3) at the
mounting bracket, adjust the desired inclination of
the unit, and tighten the setscrews again.
Important! To avoid a heat accumulation in the unit,
the mounting place must be chosen so that sufficient
air circulation is secured during operation. The vents of
the housing must not be covered.

6 Operation
6.1 Scanner (model LE-302)
1) Connect the unit with the mains plug to a mains
socket (230 V~/50 Hz). With connection to the power
supply the unit is switched on: the different light pat-
terns start to rotate.
2) By turning the thread ring (1) of the lens adjust the
sharpness of the light patterns as desired.
3) Adjust the desired volume at the music system. Via
the installed microphone (8) the unit receives the
music: the bevel mirror (6) starts to rotate to the
beat of the music.
4) Adjust the desired microphone sensitivity with the
rotary control (7). If the control is turned counter-
clockwise until it stops, the microphone is switched
off. The further the control is turned up clockwise,
the higher the microphone sensitivity becomes. Ad-
just the control so that the dynamic range of the
music is reproduced by the dancing light patterns in
an optimum way.
NOTE: When changing the volume at the music
system, the microphone sensitivity must also be
matched accordingly.
5) For switching off the unit disconnect the mains plug.
6.2 Kaleidoscope (model LE-312)
1) Connect the unit with the mains plug to a mains
socket (230 V~/50 Hz). With connection to the
power supply the unit is switched on: small glass
plates of different colours are reflected in a multiple
way. These plates are turned so that there is a con-
tinuously different arrangement of them. Thus, light
patterns are produced which permanently change
in form and colour composition.
2) By turning the thread ring (1) of the lens adjust the
sharpness of the light patterns as desired.
3) For varying the light effect, press the switch (6) at
the rear side of the unit: the mirror arrangement
inside the unit starts to rotate. This leads to an addi-
tional turning of the entire light pattern.
4) For switching off the unit disconnect the mains plug.
