higher than 42.2 °C (108 °F).
(2) Object temperature mode: The

than 80 °C (176 °F).

than -22 °C (-7.6 °F).
The batteries are empty.

9. Batteries

The device requires two AAA (LR03) batteries.
• Open the battery compartment.
Use a pointed object to press down on the battery
compartment lock and at the same time slide the
battery compartment downwards.

Wait until the forehead symbol stops flash-
ing.
Room temperature must be between 10 °C
and 40 °C (<50 °F, >104 °F).
Operate the thermometer only between
the specified temperature ranges. In the
event of a repeated error message, con-
