Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the cus-
tomer service department.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!
Problem
The device cannot
be switched on.
The device switch-
es off before the
water has boiled.
The device does
not switch off.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner and
take it to a recycling centre.
Dispose of the device in an environmentally friendly manner at a recycling cen-
tre for used electrical and electronic devices. It should not be disposed of in the
regular domestic waste. More information is available from your local authorities.

Possible cause
Has the device overheat-
ed?
Is the mains plug not
inserted in the plug socket
correctly?
The socket is defective.
No mains voltage is pres-
ent.
Is the amount of water less
than the Min marking?
Is the lid (10) or the ring
insert (1) not attached
correctly?
Has the
button (14) been
pressed and the 3-minute
boil function been set?
Has the keep-warm func-
tion been activated?

Fix
Wait until it has cooled down, then
fi ll it with water and try again.
Correct the fi t of the mains plug.
Try another plug socket.
Check the fuse of the mains con-
nection.
Pour in more water.
Correct the fi t.
After 3 minutes the device automat-
ically switches off. Otherwise switch
it off using the
take it off the base station (4).
Switch off the device using the
button (13) or take it off the base
station (4).
