Once the water has reached the set temperature, a beep is heard and the heating func-
tion switches off. As soon as the water temperature drops by 10°C, the water is reheated.
As long as the keep-warm function is activated, the LED lighting fl ashes. After two hours
or when the kettle is taken off the base station, the device switches off automatically.
3-Minute Boil Function
To remove any production residues from the device before you fi rst use it, descale it
or boil off water, fi rst press the
button (14).
The device switches on and boils the water for 3 minutes at 100°C. It then switches off.

Cleaning and Care

PLEASE NOTE!
■ Before doing any cleaning, read the "Safety Instructions"!
■ CAUTION – Danger of burns! The surface of the kettle also becomes hot from the
heated contents. Allow it to cool down before cleaning it.
■ Regularly descale the device.
■ The device and the accessories (with the exception of the tea strainer) are not dish-
washer-safe!
■ Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring sponges to
clean the device. These can damage the surface.
1. Completely empty the kettle (6).
2. Pull the lid (10), the tea strainer (7) and the ring insert (1) out of the kettle.
3. If necessary, remove the fi lter from the pouring spout (9). To do this, press the fi lter
out of its holder inside the kettle.
4. Rinse out all parts with a little mild detergent and clear water. Make sure that no
water gets into the contacts on the bottom of the kettle! Do not immerse the
kettle in water! This could cause a short circuit. Remove any tea residues with a soft
brush. The tea strainer is dishwasher-safe.
5. Dry all parts thoroughly before the device is reassembled.
6. Keep the device ready to operate. Remove limescale deposits with a descaling agent.
Follow the instructions on how to use the descaling agent.
7. The kettle can be stored on the base station when it is not being used. In this case,
pull the mains plug from the plug socket as the kettle is in stand-by mode while it is
connected to the mains power.
