VL0905 – SMART CHARGER FOR AA/AAA NiMH/NiCd BATTERIES

This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its lifecycle could harm

Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it should be taken to a specialized
company for recycling.
This device should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service.

device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.

2. Safety Instructions

Keep this device away from rain and moisture.
• Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer
will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
• Do not try and repair the battery charger or the plugs but have a qualified technician repair the device.
• Do not operate the charger with a damaged plug.
• Unplug the battery charger when the unit is producing smoke, is deformed or broken, or when batteries are
leaking.
• Clean your VL0905 and the contacts using a dry cloth.
• Charge one battery type at a time. Do not charge other types of batteries (alkaline, zinc-carbon or lithium) other
than NiMH and NiCd batteries. Doing so may result in damage to the charger or leaking and bursting batteries.
• Note that damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
• Keep the device away from children and unauthorised users.
3. Features
• 6-Level Charge Protection
o -∆v
The battery charger detects when the batteries are fully charged and interrupts the charging process.
o Timer
The battery charger interrupts the charging process when it exceeds 14 hours.
o Temperature
Your VL0905 protects the batteries from overheating.
o Reverse Polarity
Electrical circuits protect the charger and the batteries from incorrect battery insertions.
o Over-Current and Short-Circuits
The charger maintains a constant charging current and protects the unit when attempting to short-circuit the
batteries. In case of short-circuit, the indicator will flash.
o Detection of Defective and Incompatible Batteries
Charging rechargeable alkaline batteries may cause battery fluid leakage.
• Low-Current Leakage
Leaving batteries in the charger after they're fully charged will normally drain the batteries. To minimize the loss of
charge, the charger will discharge the batteries using the lowest possible current.
