d) Air outlet hose position
• On installation, the air outlet hose (28) should be kept as straight as possible (Fig. D). Extend it and do not connect
it to other air outlet hoses as this can lead to a malfunction.
• Do not bend the air outlet hose (28) (Fig. E).
• Place the window channel adaptor (24) into the slot opening in the mounted window channel (25). Position it in
the recesses on the slot opening and slide it in sideways. The two through holes should lie on top of one another.
Secure both parts with the cross-head screw with washer (26).
e) Mains connection
After correct mounting and installation, the appliance can be turned on.
• Connect the mains cable (11) with plug to a standard mains socket.
• The appliance will beep. The product is now in standby mode. The ambient temperature currently recorded by the
appliance is shown in the top right of the LC display (18).
• When you plug the mains plug into the mains socket, you will hear a beep and the LC display (18) lights up. It
displays the current ambient temperature in the top right. The appliance is now in standby mode.
11. Remote Control
a) Inserting Batteries into Remote Control
The remote control is operated by 2 x 1.5 V AAA batteries (not included). Please insert 2 x 1.5 V batteries (not included
with the product) when operating the appliance for the first time.
• To insert the batteries, open the battery compartment by sliding the battery compartment cover (J) on the back of
the remote control in direction of the arrow. Insert the batteries with the correct polarity (+/-). Follow the polarity
signs inside the battery compartment. Close the battery compartment.
• Replace the batteries as soon as the product no longer responds to commands from the remote control.
