1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The user manual is designed to assist in the safe and
trouble-free use of the device. The product is designed
and manufactured in accordance with strict technical
guidelines,
using
state-of-the-art
technologies
components. Additionally, it is produced in compliance

with the most stringent quality standards.
DO NOT USE THE DEVICE UNLESS YOU HAVE
THOROUGHLY READ AND UNDERSTOOD THIS
USER MANUAL.
To increase the product life of the device and to ensure
a trouble-free operation, use it in accordance with this user
manual and regularly perform the maintenance tasks. The
technical data and specifications in this user manual are
up to date. The manufacturer reserves the right to make
changes associated with quality improvement.

The product satisfies the relevant safety
standards.
Read instructions before use.
The product must be recycled.
PLEASE NOTE! Drawings in this manual are for
illustration purposes only and in some details it may
differ from the actual machine.
The original operation manual is in German. Other
language versions are translations from German.
2. Usage safety
ATTENTION! Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in serious injury or even death.
Whenever "device" or "product" are used in the warnings
and instructions, it shall mean Digital Distance Measuring
Wheel up to 10 000 m.
Do not use in very humid environments or in the direct
vicinity of water tanks. When in use, do not put your hands
or other items inside the device!

2.1. Safety at the workplace

a)
Make sure the workplace is orderly and well lit.
A messy or poorly lit workplace may lead to accidents.
Try to anticipate what may happen, observe what is
going on and use common sense when working with
the device.
b)
Upon discovering damage or irregular operation,
immediately switch the device off and report it to
a supervisor without delay.
c)
If there are any doubts as to the correct operation
of the device, contact the manufacturer's support
service.
d)
Only the manufacturer's service point may repair the
device. Do not attempt any repairs independently!
e)
Children or unauthorised persons are forbidden from
entering a work station. (A distraction may result in
a loss of control over the device).
REMEMBER! When using the device, protect
children and other bystanders.

2.2. Personal safety

a)
Do not use the device when tired, ill or under the
influence of alcohol, narcotics or medication which
can significantly impair the ability to operate the
device.

b)
When working with the device, use common sense
and stay alert. Temporary loss of concentration whilst
using the device may lead to serious injuries.
c)
Use personal protection equipment as required
for working with the device, specified in section 1
(Legend). The use of correct, approved personal
protection equipment reduces the risk of suffering
an injury.
d)
Do not overestimate your abilities. When using the
device keep your balance and remain stable at all
times. This will ensure better control over the device
in unexpected situations.
e)
Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair,
clothes and gloves away from moving parts. Loose
clothing, jewellery or long hair may get caught in
moving parts.
2.3. Safe device use
a)
When not in use, store in a safe place, away from
children and people not familiar with the device, who
have not read the user manual. The device may pose
a hazard in the hands of inexperienced users.
b)
Maintain the device in a good technical state. Before
each use check for general damage and especially
check for cracked parts or elements and for any other
conditions which may impact the safe operation of
the device. If damage is discovered, hand over the
device for repair before use.
c)
Keep the device out of the reach of children.
d)
Device repair or maintenance should be carried out
by qualified persons, only using original spare parts.
This will ensure safe use.
e)
To ensure the operational integrity of the device, do
not remove factory fitted guards and do not loosen
any screws.

f)
When transporting and handling the device between
the warehouse and the destination, take into account
the occupational health and safety principles for
manual transport operations which apply in the
country where the device will be used.
g)
It is forbidden to interfere with the structure of
the device in order to change its parameters or
construction.
3. Use guidelines
The device is used to measure the distance expressed in
meters as well as in feet. The device has the ability to store
up to 5 measurements.
The user is responsible for any damage resulting from
non-intended use of the device.

3.2. Preparing for use/ Device use
Usage:
After unpacking, unfold the device and secure the shank by
means of the holder lock (4).
1.
In order to switch on the device, press the ON / OFF
button (7). After switching on, the device should
show 0000.0 m then it is ready for use.
2.
In order to change the measuring unit, press the unit
change button (11)
3.
In order to save the measurement, press the
measurement
memorizing
button
(10).
The
measurements will be saved sequentially from M1 to
M5.
Note! The measurements will be deleted after the
device is switched off.

In order to read out the saved measurements, it
is necessary to press the measurement readout
button (9). When the button is pressed once it will
be shown the measurement for M1 with the letter
R in the top right corner. After a few seconds, the
display will return to the current measurement value.
After pressing the button a second time the result for
measurement M2 will appear, and similarly for more
number of pressings.

In order to clear the current measurement, press the
measurement deletion button (8).

After 5 minutes of non-use, the device will be
switched off and the saved measurements will be
deleted.
In order to change the length of the handle, it is necessary
to release the holder lock and then to slide apart the holder
to the desired height. Secure with the lock again.
Usage tips:
During the measurement, go along a straight line in
order to maintain the accuracy of the measurement.
Do not measure the distance where the ground is
uneven.
Do not use the device under water or during rain.
Do not use or store the device in places with high air
temperature.
When the LCD monitor goes out or the battery icon
blinks it is necessary to replace the batteries.

3.3. Cleaning and maintenance

Use cleaner without corrosive substances to clean
surface.
Store the unit in a dry, cool location, free from
moisture and direct exposure to sunlight.
