GEOtank sa pomaly vkladá do zeme buď pomocou lán (drevený nosník v tanku) alebo pomocou vhodného zdvíhacieho vozíka (pozri obrázok 3). Je potrebné prihliadať na to, aby vkladanie tanku do výkopu neprebiehalo jednostranne ale celou plochou paralelne k pieskovému ložku.
