Hydraulic connections
Connect hydraulically the module according to the markings on the self-adhesive label of the product and in this manual.
It will be responsibility of the designer and fitter to verify the conditions of the installation and provide the installation with all the
safety devices and accessories needed for the typology of the installation (closed vessel circuit or open vessel circuit).

IMPORTANT:

In the case of systems with an open vessel circuit, make sure that the module is installed in a height lower than the one of the vessel.
IMPORTANT: carry out the installation of the KIT-2 near the wood-burning thermo-fireplace so that the sensor can detects
in a lowest time the heat coming from the wood-burning thermo-fireplace. If possible, place the sensor on the pipes inside
the thermo-fireplace; if necessary, extend the connection cable between the sensor and the control. These operations must
be made with caution in order to avoid the risk of electric interference in the sensor cable.
There are no devices on the module neither for filling the installation nor for the operation indications of pressure of the primary/secondary
circuit. This function belongs to the user system.
The module has an automatic air purge system. This module has de-icing systems.
Electrical connection
All the modules have on the bottom a hole so that the electrical cables pass inside the module towards the box, placed on the top, where all
the electrical connections are made.
Make sure that the installation is adequate to the peak power input for the equipment and control that the section of cables is the best, not
lower that 1.5 mm2.
The connections to the electrical network must be made by following the conformity to the place of installation, protecting the cables so that
they are not damaged.
The KIT-2 module feed must be derivate from line 230 Vac / 50 Hz protected with circuit-breaker switch or the sections with fuses. For the
grounding connection of the equipment it is forbidden to use the water installation pipes.
The temperature sensor can influence in an important way in the performance of the module depending on the typology or positioning.
The temperature sensor must be placed on the flow pipe of the heating chimney.
It is possible to extend the connection cable between the sensor and the regulator by using a cable lower than 10-12 m with a section not
lower than 0.75 mm2 or protected with armour. This operation must be made with the necessary caution in order to avoid that the cable of the
sensor damages or is exposed to electrical interferences (pipe protections, keep away from heating sources, cables or equipments with a
high electrical power...)
The electrical connection shown in chapter "Connection Schema" can be used as a reference for the electrical connections:
• If HID FIRE BASIC must be connected out of the module regard to its original position.
• If a second HID FIRE BASIC is used (optional) it can be connected by a bipolar simple cable non-protected or polarized, with a
maximum length 50 m directly in parallel to the principal card of the module.
• Of eventually components in which it is necessary their replacement. It is recommended the exclusive use of original spare parts.
IMPORTANT:
The proper connection to an adequate electric installation and an efficient grounding installation is compulsory in order to guarantee the
proper operation and the safety of the KIT.
The manufacturer is not responsible for any eventual damage caused for a non grounding connection or any anomaly electrical supply. KIT-2
and regulator are not protected against lightning or electric shocks.
