Changing modes
Starting from the factory setting (section
6.5 Factory settings) the other modes can be selected: first
Mode 2 and then Mode 3 (back to Mode 1, see section
6.5 Factory settings).
Modes 1 and 3: Single position measurement
–
Output 1 = Position value of magnet 1
–
Output 2 = Position value of magnet 2
Mode 2: Differential measurement
–
Output 1 = Position value of magnet 1
–
Output 2 = Difference between magnet 1 and magnet
2
The mode can be changed using the following
programming sequence:
1. Turn off power.
2. Enable programming input Lb.
3. Turn on power.
4. Wait until LED comes on (4 s < t < 8 s).
Then disable Lb.
5. Wait until LED is constant on (4 s < t < 8 s).
Then enable Lb.
6. Wait until LED is constant on (4 s < t < 8 s).
Then disable Lb.
7. Cycle power.
⇒ New mode is active.
8. Check programming of the outputs and
reprogram if needed (see section 6.2 on
page 12 and section 6.3 on page 13).
The BTL is again ready to use.

Factory settings
The BTL can be reset to its default settings using the
following programming sequence (see Fig. 6-2 on
page 11):
1. Turn off power.
2. Enable programming input La.
3. Turn on power.
4. Wait until LED comes on (4 s < t < 8 s).
Then disable La.
5. Wait until LED is constant on (4 s < t < 8 s).

6. Wait until LED is constant on (4 s < t < 8 s).
Then disable La.
7. Cycle power.
⇒ The BTL is reset to its factory default
settings.
The BTL is again ready to use.
