Description of the appliance
Caring for the environment
Disposal of the packing material
The transport and protective packing
has been selected from materials which
are environmentally friendly for disposal
and can normally be recycled. Ensure
that any plastic wrappings, bags etc.
are disposed of safely and kept out of
reach of babies and young children.
Danger of suffocation! Rather than just
throwing these materials away, please
ensure they are offered for recycling.
Disposal of your old appliance
Electrical and electronic appliances
often contain materials which, if
handled or disposed of incorrectly,
could be potentially hazardous to
human health and to the environment.
They are, however, essential for the
correct functioning of your appliance.
Please dispose of your old appliance at
your local community waste collection/
recycling centre and not with your
household waste.
Please ensure that it presents no
danger to children while being stored
for disposal. See the "Warning and
Safety" section of this booklet for further
details.

How the Aqua-Soft-System
works
The Aqua-Soft-System is a "two-bed"
system which delivers a constant sup-
ply of softened water. It is a dual-tank
system. One tank supplies softened
water whilst the other reactivates. Reac-
tivation is controlled by quantity and is
automatically activated when softened
water is required. Because reactivation
is on demand, the use of salt is kept to
a minimum.
The machine does not require electric-
ity, a solenoid valve or a timer to oper-
ate. Moving components only come into
contact with softened water so lime-
scale does not develop.
The Aqua-Soft-System must be fitted
with the correct water hardness range
disk (Meter Disk) for the water supply.
A total of 8 different disks are supplied.
The Aqua-Soft-System requires a mini-
mum flow pressure of approx. 250 kPa
(2.5 bar) when used in conjunction with
either a fresh water machine or a tank
machine which does not have a built-in
water softener.
Water pressure must not drop below
this level even when at full flow.
The service engineer will install the cor-
rect hardness range disk (Meter Disk)
to set the degree of hardness.
