The unit of surface temperature (°C, °F) is set in configuration area
Unit 1 in this mode. °C is set at the factory.
An offset correction of the temperature values can be made in
configuration area CAL 1.
The laser light is switched on for measurement location marking as
soon as the IR mode is selected. The laser lights for a maximum of
2 minutes and can be activated for another 2 minutes respectively
with a at any time in this mode.
Distance and measuring spot size (E:M)
To achieve accurate measuring results the target must be larger
than the measuring spot of the instrument. The determined tempe-
rature is the average temperature of the measured surface. The
smaller the target the shorter the distance from the instrument must
be. The exact measuring spot size can be taken from the diagram.
For accurate measurements, the target must be at least twice as
big as the measuring spot.
