5. Getting started
• Remove the protective foil from the solar panel.
• The rechargeable batteries are pre-charged. We recommend that you charge the de-
vice fully before first installation. Do this by leaving it for 8 hours in the OFF mode in
the sun.
• The batteries are sufficiently recharged during the summer months by the solar pa-
nel if the device gets enough sun during the day. Make sure that the device is placed
on a sunny location.
• Rechargeable batteries are only recharged by the solar panel.
