Using with and without glasses
Users that do not wear glasses should pull out
the eyepiece cups with sliding eyepiece sleeve
(1) until they engage. This position gives the cor-
rect distance between the eyepiece and the eye
and any interference from light scatter is avoid-
ed. The engaged position guarantees a steady
position that is free from blurring.
When using the 16-48 x zoom eyepiece for the
Televid 62 (Order no. 41 012), the eyepiece cup is
set to the pulled out position by turning it to the
left.
When viewing with glasses, the eyepiece cup
should remain pushed or screwed in, so that the
entire field of view is visible.
Focusing
The dual focus of the Leica Televid models is
equipped with two different ratios. The front, nar-
rower section of the focusing dial (in viewing
direction, 4b) is used for fine adjustment, while
the rear section (4a) is used for rough or preset-
ting. This ensures fast, precise focusing at both
low and high magnifications.
