6. Intended use
The alternating pressure mattresses are placed
over the standard mattress. They can be used at
home, home care or in an hospital. Preferably used
on hospital or nursing beds, but you can also use
them on a standard bed.
It has been designed for prevention of bedsore,
affordable solution to 24 hours pressure area care.
The mattress is intended for prevention and
treatment of pressure ulcers / decubitus, while
optimizing the patient comfort.
Do not use the mattress on patient conditions for
which the application of pressure relieving therapy
on alternation system is contraindicated (cervical
skeletal traction, unstable spinal cord injuries).
7. Grounding
Before any connection to the output connectors is
made, the compressor shall be connected to a
protective earth conductor with the three-core main
cable; the mains plug shall be inserted not be
negated by the use of an extension cable without
protective conductor.

DANGER: Always unplug the product
immediately after using.
1. Unpack the mattress and compressor.
2. Place the overlay mattress MAT-X1 or MAT-X2
or MAT-X3 onto the bed mattress. Check that
the bed mattress and mattress MAT-X1 or
MAT-X2 or MAT-X3 match in size. Please note
the foot end of the overlay mattress.
3. Mount the compressor to the foot panel and
check the compressor is properly attached.
4. Connect the air hoses to the mattress and the
compressor. Check and ensure the air hoses
are not kinked or tucked under the mattress.
5. Plug the power cable into the outlet socket
(grounded AC socket 230V). Check the main
voltage of the outlet socket is correct before
inserting the plug of the power cable.

that has fallen into water. Unplug
immediately.
NOTE: Users can adjust pressure of air mattress to
a desired softness by themselves, or by healthcare
professional's suggestion.
NOTE: If the pressure level is consistently low,
check for any leakage (tubes or connecting hoses).
If necessary, replace any damaged tubes or hoses
or contact local qualified dealer for repair.
1. Switch on the compressor (power switch to
"ON"). The power switch and normal pressure
indicators light up.
2. The compressor starts pumping air into the
mattress. It takes approx. 10 minutes to inflate.
3. Turn the pressure dial to "MAX". When the
mattress is inflated for the first time. Afterwards
can the user adjust the air mattress to the
desired softness by turning on the pressure
switch of the compressor.
4. Check that your hand can between the patient
and the inflated mattress without any difficulty
to see the mattress is inflated to the correct
pressure.
5. A cotton sheet can be placed over the
mattress to avoid skin contact and for the
patient's comfort. Take care to avoid any folds
in the sheet.
11. Safety instructions
• Always unplug the mattress immediately after
using.
• Do not use while bathing.
• Do not place or store the product where it can
fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
• Do not place in or drop into water or other
liquid.
• Do not reach for a mattress that has fallen into
water. Unplug immediately!
• Protect the compressor from humidity or direct
moisture.
• This product should never be left unattended
when plugged in.
• Close supervision is necessary when this
product is used near children or invalids.
• Use this product only for its intended use as
described in this manual. Do not use hoses not
recommended by the manufacturer.
• The product has been dropped or damaged, or
dropped into water. Return the product to local
retail or service center for repairing.
• Never operates this product if it has a
damaged cable or the plug is not working
properly.
• Keep the cable away from heated surfaces.
