FEATURES
HEAD LOCK PIN
See Figure 3.
The head lock pin is used for locking the saw arm in the
down position.
ELECTRIC BRAKE
An electric brake has been provided to quickly stop blade
rotation after the switch is released.
LED LIGHTING SYSTEM
The LED casts a shadow of the blade teeth onto the
workpiece for making precision cuts and predicts blade kerf
for blade cut line.
MITER LOCK LEVER
See Figure 4.
The miter lock lever securely locks the saw table at the desired
miter angle. Push the lever down to lock the saw in place.
To release the saw, lift the miter lock lever and depress the
detent release button.
POSITIVE MITER STOPS
Positive stops have been provided at 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 31.6°,
and 45°. The positive stops have been provided on both the
left and right miters.
SELF-RETRACTING LOWER BLADE GUARD
The lower blade guard is made of shock-resistant, see-through
plastic that provides protection from each side of the blade.
It retracts over the upper blade guard as the saw is lowered
into the workpiece.
SLIDE BAR
When unlocked, the saw arm will glide forward and backward
the length of the slide bar for cutting various workpiece widths.
SLIDE LOCK KNOB
The slide lock knob locks and unlocks the sliding feature of
this tool.
SLIDING MITER FENCE
The sliding miter fence on your compound miter saw has been
provided to help support the workpiece when making cuts;
the portion of the miter fence located farthest from the blade
is larger to provide additional vertical support.
The sliding feature makes it easy to remove or adjust the
position of the fence and allow for clearance of the saw arm
when making bevel or compound cuts. Loosen the fence
screw before attempting to slide the miter fence. Once the
desired position of the miter fence is determined, tighten the
fence screw to secure the sliding fence.
