Introduction
Please read carefully and completely through these operating instructions. These
operating instructions form part of the product and contain important information about
bringing the product into use and its handling. Always observe all the safety advice. If you
have any questions or are unsure of how to handle the device please consult our Internet

Proper use

The obsevation system includes a VA-707M Monitor, two VC-73 Cameras each with 18m
cable and a FB-707 remote control.
The observation system is intended for the surveillance of buildings (eg. rooms, doorways
hallways, driveways) with videopictures and audio. A plug-and-play system cable is used
for. The video and audio connection to the monitor and also for the power supply to the
cameras.
At lowlight levels the colour cameras switch automatically to a black and white picture and
the integrated infrared LEDs are illuminated. At night the LEDs illuminate the immediate
vicinity (up to 5m indoors and up to 2m outdoors). If the cameras are to be used in poor
light conditions or at night then additional lighting is recommended.
The VA-707M monitor can be connected to the video/audio input of a TV or recorder. The
two VC-73 cameras are connected to the input channels of the monitor. The channels can
be switched automatically or manually directly on the monitor or from the remote control.
When the camera orientation is in the reverse Direction, the monitor image can be
mirrored.
The monitor is powered from the supplied mains adapter, the cameras are powered
through the supplied cable from the monitor. The mains adapter is to be connected to a
230 V ~ AC, 50Hz socket.
The camera is watherproof (IP44) so it can be used indoors and outdoors in a sheltered
position.
The cable to each camera can be extended to a maximum 90m length using optional 18m
plug-and-play extension cables. This observation set is for use in private households.
Any other use or modification to the device shall be considered as improper use and could
give rise to considerable dangers. The manufacturer will not be liable for damage caused
by improper use or incorrect operation.
