Planning where you install the device
Before you install the cameras you must first plan what to do at the installation site.
Check that the cameras work satisfactorily at the installation site before you install them.
Observe the following points:
!
The cameras should be attached in such a way that as little direct light or direct sunlight
as possible strikes the lens. When considering this, remember that the position of the
sun does not remain constant. The camera image is best checked before it is installed.
To do this connect the system, sselect the camera image on the monitor and hold the
camera in the planned position. If necessary alter the position of the camera until you
obtain your desired picture coverage.
!
The cameras have an infrared light for the adjacent area for better facial recognition.
Additional lighting in the area at night will improve the image quality from the camera.
!
Ensure that the location of the cameras and of the monitor are dustfree and
vibrationfree and that there is adequate air circulation.
!
Ensure that there is a mainspower supply near to the monitor
!
Take account of the cable length between the cameras and the monitor
!
For outdoor use, choose a location for the camera that is protected from direct rainfall.
The cable connector must be insulated so that there is no water ingress
!
Ensure that there is a suitable access hole for the cable.
!
The monitor must be positioned on a flat and stable surface.
