Extending the cables
The cable to each camera can be extended to a maximum length of 90m. Plug-and-play
extension cables VK4-18M (Art.Nr. 27 021) are available as an optional accessory

Connect the extension cables between the socket [4] from the camera and the plug of
the cable [8]
Mounting and connection of the monitor
The monitor can be supported in a slanted position using the support [25]. The monitor
can be mounted on a bracket using the thread [24] on the underside of the monitor.
Additional there is a channel on the reverse side of the monitor which can be hung over a
suitable screw head for wall hanging (ensure that the diameter of the screw head is
adequate to hang the monitor safety!)

Connect the DC-plug of the 12V mains adapter [10] into the power supply socket [21]
of the monitor.

Plug the mains adapter into a suitable mains socket
!
The monitor and the connected cameras are now ready for use
Connection to a recorder or a TV
It is possible to relay the monitor image and sound to another monitor (eg. A TV set) or to a
recorder

Connect the black plug of the A/V output cable [11] (see Fig. D) into the AV output
socket "AV OUTPUT" [26] of the monitor and the cinch plugs with a suitable recorder or
TV with A-V cinch sockets (white plug = audio (mono), yellow plug = video)
Operation

Swich on the monitor by pressing the ON/OFF button [13]. The monitor and the
cameras are now operational

To switch off press the ON/OFF button again

If you are not going to use the system for some time then remove the mains adapter
from the mains socket.
Channel selection
It is possible to select the channels manually or for the monitor to switch automatically. In
automatic mode each channel is shown alternatively. The dwell time per channel is approx
5 seconds. Each time the monitor is switched on it will switch to the channel which was
selected when it was turned off. If no video signal is received from the camera the monitor
image shows "NO SIGNAL".

Selection on the monitor
Each time the channel selection button [12] is pressed, the channel selection changes
(channel 1- channel 2- Automatic-channel 1...)

Selection using the remote control
Press the button [28] to show channel 1 on the monitor.
Press the button [29] to show channel 2 on the monitor.
Press the button [30] to activate the automatic switching.

The selected channel is indicated by the corresponding LED in the channel indicator
[20]. Automatic switching is indicated by a flashing LED.
Monitor settings
Various parameters can be adjusted as required. The menu of the settings appears on the
screen (OSD=onscreen display).
Each parameter can be adjusted using the "VOL -"[16] and "VOL + " [17] buttons.
The OSD disappears automatically after approx. 3 seconds if no button is pressed.
Volume adjustment
The volume is adjusted by pressing the VOL - [16] and VOL + [17] buttons
