The Modulator is easy to use, and has been designed for one person only. It forms one unit, and its locking can only be performed if the rope is well positioned
and the flanges are properly locked.
The anchor point must be tested and must comply with the EN 795 standard. It must be selected in such a way to reduce the potential fall height and pendulum
risk to the minimum.
When the system is under tension, the running of the rope is blocked.
The Modulator allows the user to work on tension safely.
The user must make sure that the available clearance is sufficient.
CAUTION: The Modulator must be attached directly to the harness through a karabiner complying with the EN 362 standard.
The manual pressure exerted on the control handle allows the user to go away from the tight strand. The higher the pressure, the speeder the rope runs.
Pressure variation on the handle allows the modulation of the run speed of the rope.
The user must pull on the slack strand to bring back the modulator to him.
In case the user should lose his balance –even when a handling is being performed- the sudden tension generated on the eccentric is sent to the handle,
preventing the user's hand from being contracted on the handle.
