III.
DESCRIPTION
The Modulator is a fall arrester on a flexible anchor line. It allows safe movement on sloped or plane surfaces (slope roofs, flat roofs) with no risks of slipping, or
falling from/through the roofs.
It weighs 270 grams. The flanges (1 and 2), and the control handle (3) are made of hot pressed stainless steel.
The eccentric (4) is in aluminium.
The Modulator runs along a specific flexible static rope (diameter 11mm, breaking strength of 2600 daN).

Exceptionally, the manufacturing year may be indicated on a ring stuck next to the label. This ring has priority over the colour of the thread.
V.
INSTALLING AND ADJUSTING THE MODULATOR
a -
Unlock the device by turning the free flange (2) at right angle to the main flange (1).
b -
Once the control handle (3) is directed to the main flange (1), make the eccentric (4) swivel outwards, around its axis (5). It features a stop to limit its
opening.
c -
Place the tight strand of the rope towards the handle.
d -
Grab the slack strand of the rope, wind it around the eccentric (4), and then around the main axis (6).
e -
Lower the free flange (2), so that its end is superposed to that of the main flange.
f -
Tie the rope to the hanging element by passing a connector through the flanges holes (7).
By doing so, any accidental opening is impossible.
