Wipe the outside of the coffee maker
S
housing with a damp cloth, do not use any
sharp or abrasive cleaning products.
Clean the reservoir 2 under running water,
S
do not use any stiff brushes.
Rinse out the thermos jug 6, wipe the
S
outside with a damp cloth.
Tip: Clean the high quality stainless steel
surface with a standard stainless steel care
product.
Descaling
Regular descaling
- prolongs the service life of the coffee
maker
- guarantees faultless operation
- avoids an excessive formation of steam
- shortens the brewing time
- saves energy.
The coffee maker should be descaled using a
commercially available descaler.
Place the thermos jug 6 in the coffee
S
maker with the lid secured.
Measure out the descaler in accordance
S
with the manufacturer's instructions and
pour it into the reservoir.
Caution: Do not fill with more than 6 cups
of liquid.
Press the
0/I On Off button 8.
S
Interrupt the descaling process several
S
times for 5 minutes by pressing the
0/I On Off button 8 on and off to allow
the descaler to take effect. The descaling
process should take at least 30 minutes.
When descaling has ended, operate the
S
coffee maker twice using clean water
without any ground coffee. Do not fill with
more than 6 cups of water.
Carefully rinse all loose parts and the
S
thermos jug 6.
Descaling advice
If you have normal water hardness and use the
appliance daily, you should descale every
6 weeks. If you use an acetic or
citric acid based descaler, you should descale
the appliance every 3 weeks.
Troubleshooting minor problems
The coffee maker switches off before the end
of the brewing process → the coffee maker is
heavily furred.
Descale the automatic coffee maker in
S
accordance with the instructions.
The drip stop 5 is leaking → the drip stop 5 is
dirty.
Clean the drip stop 5 (in filter 4) under
S
running water while operating the drip
stop 5 several times with your finger.
