5. Function
The EAQ 10/3 continuously measures the
concentration of gases and odours in the
room air (carbon monoxide, methane,
hydrogen, alcohol, tobacco smoke, dyes etc.)
and the air humidity in the room.
The value obtained from the VOC
measurement is used e.g. to control the
speed of fans (0-10 V output signal).
The potential-free switching contact can be
used to realise additional control functions,
e.g. switching the ventilation on/off if VOC
and/or humidity is present.
The switching points for the switching contact
are defined on the two VOC and RH
potentiometers – the function in question is
switched off when set completely to the right
Meaning of LEDs
Air quality,
blue:
good air quality
purple: acceptable air quality

* Remains lit up until the VOC
content has fallen sufficiently, e.g.
after smoke, coats of paint etc. have
been detected.
Relay switching status
green: contact element open
red:
contact element closed
Automatic brightness function
A sensor automatically sets the light
intensity of the two LEDs. These are
dimmed, e.g. at night.
