PREPARING ESPRESSO COFFEE

Before use, check that all internal parts are included and correctly
assembled.
IMPORTANT: Before initial use of the espresso maker, clean all its
accessories and the riser pipe with warm water.
1. Ensure that the espresso maker is cold. Unscrew it by holding the
water container with one hand and with the other hand turn the
upper body, which collects the brewed coffee, anti clockwise, i.e. to
the left. (1)
2. Remove the coffee funnel and fill the water container with fresh
water up to the MAX mark. HINT: We recommend the use of fresh
soft water. Water which contains a lot of calcium or salt adversely
affects the flavour of the coffee. IMPORTANT: Never use your espresso
maker with an empty water container; never use warm water in an
effort to speed up the preparation of coffee. (2)
3. Insert the coffee funnel in the water container. (3)
4. Fill the coffee funnel with ground coffee, do not compact the coffee.
Put the ground coffee into the sieve in small quantities, using a spoon
to prevent overfilling the sieve and spilling ground coffee. Distribute
the ground coffee evenly and wipe any excess from the rim of the
sieve. IMPORTANT: Use only high-quality ground coffee of medium
grind, suitable for espresso makers. (2)
