Fineness is mainly dependent on how long the grinding operation is
performed.

Dry, brittle materials are easily ground, but may not be larger than the
size of a pea as there may be danger of damage when carbide metal
beaters are used. The A14 stainless steel beater is assembled from
rust- and acid-proof stell (materialno. 1.4034). The A15 carbide metal
beater made of carbide metal (86%tungsten carbide and 14%
cobalt) is available if particulary wear-resistant material is required.
The A17 star-type blade (material no. 1.4310) is available for specifi-
cally light ground materials such as pharmaceuticals, tablets, card-
board, felt, polystyrene, plastic foams (Brittle) and the like
The A18 grinding chamber reduction element (included in the deli-
very quantity) is inserted into the grinding chamber for comminution
of small sample quantities (1-5ml) and specifically lighter products.
M 20
If materials are to be ground that are smaller than a certain grain size
then it should be sieved and the residue in the sieve is put back into
the grinder. For sharp-edged material wich is thus very abrasive, it is
recommended that the entire quantity is left in the grinder in order
to additionally exploit the properties of the material.
