General Safety Guidelines
• Please read these instructions carefully before the first use of the appliance.
• If the appliance is given to another person, please ensure that the instructions are also included.
• Operate the appliance only for domestic use and only for the intended purpose.
• Please first check whether the current and voltage are the same as on the type label.
• Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
• Never operate this appliance using an external timer or separate remote control system.

Initial Operation
Danger!
Mains voltage! Do not tamper with the appliance beyond normal use unless the appliance is unconnected.
Pull the plug out of the socket beforehand. Danger of electric shock!

Check the power cord for damage before every use. A damaged cord is extremely dangerous and must
be replaced immediately. This may be done only by the manufacturer or authorized technicians. The
appliance may be plugged into a grounded socket only. The ground protection may not be eliminated by
an ungrounded extension cord.

Never put metal objects or other electric conductors into the contact openings of the power output socket
of the base or additional module. Danger of electric shock!

Observe the requirements for location described in Chapter 5.1. Failure to observe them may lead to fire
damage to building or objects or burn injuries.
