3. Installation
The device may only be connected up by a
qualified electrician (in Germany according to
BGV A3).
3.1 Safety information

Read these instructions thoroughly prior to
installation and commissioning.

After installation, hand over the instruc-
tions to the end consumer.

Only install and connect the unit when it
is de-energized.

Do not insert metal objects or fingers in
the area intended for the connecting the
heating rod. connection.
3.2 Conditions of use
W
Only install thermostat in conjunction with
electrical heating rods from the manufac-
turer's product range.
W
Ensure that the output of the heating rod
does not exceed the output of the room
thermostat (see nameplate).
W
When installing in rooms with bath or
shower facilities: comply with protective
areas according to national installation
standards (in Germany DIN VDE 0100-701).
Also follow all local regulations.

During installation, a residual-current-ope-
rated protective device (with trigger limit
09/2018
less than or equal to 30 mA) must be
provided on-site.
W
If a device is connected directly to the
fixed electrical installations, incorporate
a disconnecting device in accordance
with the local regulations for mains
disconnection.
W
Only operate the unit with the approved
voltage (see nameplate).
W
Only store and transport the device in the
protective packaging.
3.3 Complaint
Please contact the supplier.
3.4 Disposal
Packaging and any parts that are not needed
should be recycled or disposed of properly.
Observe local regulations.
