UNDERSTANDING THE CONTROL ELEMENTS (s. Fig. 2)
ADJUSTING THE LIGHT DURATION:
The light duration is the amount of time for which the motion detector
leaves the light on after activation. The light duration can be set for 10
seconds to 4 minutes. By turning the TIME-dial from (+) to (-), the light
duration is reduced.
Note: Every time motion is detected, this time period starts all over
again.
SETTING THE RESPONSE SENSITIVITY:
The motion detector has a built-in sensor that can differentiate be-
tween daylight and darkness.
The ( ) position indicates that the attached light will be activated by
the motion detector during daytime or nighttime. The ( ) position in-
dicates that the attached light will only be activated by the motion de-
tector at night.
You can select the intensity of the light by which the light shall acti-
vate using the LUX- selector dial.
SETTING THE CONTROL ELEMENTS
1. Set the LUX-dial to the daytime ( ) position and the TIME-dial to
the (-) position for minimal light duration (turn the TIME-dial clock-
wise until it stops), turn on the power supply and wait half a minute
until the motion detector is operationally ready. The light will then
come on for around 30 seconds.
2. Aim the sensor at the area you wish to monitor by aiming the sen-
sor in that direction.
3. You can test the monitored field by moving toward the motion
detector. As soon as the motion sensor receives an alert signal (e.g.
the motion of a person) inside its monitored field, the attached light
will be activated for the selected time period.
4. Make the required adjustments with the TIME-dial (see "setting the
light duration").
5. Turn the LUX-adjustment dial from daylight ( ) toward night ( ), to
set the light intensity at which the light should come on. Perform
any necessary adjustments as described under "Setting the re-
sponse sensitivity".
