object, the tighter the wool becomes in the deeper
layers. If you hold the addiQuick felting machine at
a slant, you only felt the upper surface and the core
remains loose and pliable. This is useful if you want
to felt a figure with limbs that are bendable.
5. Enlarge heart
If you would like to enlarge the two top areas or the
tip of the heart, place some wool in these spots and
felt the wool to affix the additional fibers. The tighter
the felt, the more difficult it will be to add new fibers
since the previously felted wool is very solid and
dense and resists more felting.
6. Finishing
Move the addiQuick machine across the heart until
all loose fibers are firmly interlocked—your felted
heart is now finished. Do a "pluck" test.
PLUCK TEST
Pull on a fiber. The fiber
should not become deta-
ched from the felt.
DECORATING
Finally, the heart can be
decorated with a glitter
pen. Or attach small felted
wings.
Apply string or ribbon for a
cute ornament.
