7 – Installation and setting
Installation
Arrange the packing groups in the order
A – G.
• Mount column (A) on base plate (B)
with screws (E).
• Locate worktable (D) on column, push
it down as far as it will go and lock
with locking screw (9).
• Locate motor/transmission
block (C) on column and secure
it with screws (F).
• Attach handles on spindle guide.
• Mount chuck (5) very tightly on
spindle taper.
Mounting the shaving guard (4)
The shaving guard has an integrated
switch which switches off the machine
when the shaving guard (4) is folded
back and releases the machine when it
is folded forwards again.
Turn the lower section of the hinge (14)
with the marking (16) as far as it will go
to the right. Insert the holding post (13)
of the shaving guard (4) from below into
the hinge in such a way that the shaving
guard is located in front of the chuck.
Fix the holding post with the knurled
screw (15) which will point towards the
operator in this position.
Undoing and tightening the knurled
screw allows the height of the shaving
guard to be adapted to the item you are
working on.
