PRE-GRINDING
With the pre-grinding process the appliance
grinds twice: the first time for the type of coffee
selected and the second time for the next coffee
(not yet selected).
This function is useful only if you have
to make several coffees at the same
time (e.g. when entertaining guests or
during a party).
• After accessing the programming mode, press
"∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ " or "∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ " to select the function:

enable it by pressing "ENT".
• The display will show:

and memorise it by pressing "ENT".
TOTAL COFFEES
This function allows you to display how many
coffees the appliance has made to date.
• After accessing the programming mode, press
"∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ " or "∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ " to select the function:

enable it by pressing "ENT". The display will
show, for example:

DESCALING
This function allows you to descale the appliance
using the integrated program. When the
machine has used up the amount of water set
according to the water hardness, it will display
the message
DESCALING
READY FOR USE
The appliance should be descaled as soon as
possible.
• In the programming mode, press ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ ∧ " or "∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ ∨ "
to select the function:
DESCALING
and enable it by pressing "ENT".
• At this point the display will indicate:
DESCALING
Caution: before starting the
descaling program, carefully read the
"Descaling" directions in Section 11. Never
descale the brew unit. Never press the
coffee brew button (22, 23, 24) when the
water in the tank contains a descaling agent.
This could cause damage to the brew unit.
