voltage spikes significantly reduce the service life, as does unclean supply voltage.
•
The product is covered by the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE),
and must be properly recycled at the end of its service life.
CLEANING
•
Voltage must be disconnected from the luminaire before cleaning. The electronic components and
connectors must not be exposed to moisture.
•
The exterior surfaces of the luminaire should be cleaned of dirt occasionally, thus ensuring its effective
operation. Regular cleaning is important for optimal luminous emittance.
•
A thick layer of dust on top of the luminaire will increase its internal temperature. This may reduce the
service life of the luminaire. If dust and dirt gather on the luminaire surfaces during its use, remove it
once the layer gets thicker than 3 mm. Schedule the future maintenance periods accordingly.
•
If necessary, the luminaire can be cleaned with neutral soap solutions (pH 7), for example dishwashing
liquids. They are also suitable for cleaning of the glass or the polycarbonate cover. Dilute the cleaning
agent with water, and use a cloth rag or a sponge for cleaning.
•
Do not spray the cleaning agent directly onto the surface of the luminaire, as it might be difficult to
remove from the protective cover.
•
Do not use a pressure washer to clean the luminaire.
COMPONENTS
•
If one of the luminaire components becomes defective for any reason, it must be replaced immediately
with a new component approved by I-Valo.
•
It is recommended that the starter be replaced when it reaches the end of its predicted service life or in
conjunction with every third bulb replacement.
•
For component change, open the quick latches and remove the ballast box cover. Once the control gear
has been changed, clean the silicone sealings, if necessary, replace the cover tightly against the ballast
box body and close the quick latches carefully.
•
Use I-Valo's original spare parts only!
WARRANTY
•
I-Valo will be liable for any defects in design, materials or workmanship of the products in such a way
that he will either repair or replace them at his option.
•
The warranty period is twenty four (24) months from the date of invoice.
•
The light source (bulb) is excluded from the warranty.
•
I-Valo's warranty is only valid, when the installation and commissioning of the luminaires as well as all
