USAGE
Stack other than versatile model 777406 :
y Adjust the distance of plate's stops by lifting them according to the diameter of the plates and by inserting the lower pin into the chosen hole.
Can be adjusted for plates with diam. 200 to 310mm and diam. 200 to 260mm according to the model.
Multi-function stack 777406 :
y The stopper position/setting will vary according to whether you are using square/rectangular or round plates. Before putting plates in, look inside the device,
to the bottom of stack. Two of the four stoppers have two rows of positioning holes :
- Round plates : position the 2 stoppers in the rows that are on the O-shaped outline, representing a round plate. Drawing A page 17.
- Square/rectangular plates : position the 2 stoppers in the rows that are
page 17.
General purpose stack :
y The number and the position of «crockery separation tubes» (item 20 of the spare parts list) are based on the dimensions of the crockery placed in the
stack. Adjuste springs according to the weight of plates :
For other values please make tests.
Each silo is equipped with round guide tubes (3 or 4 according to the model) around which the plate support is able to slide. Remove the springs, begin-
ning with those closest to the guides, always removing the same number per guide.
If possible, remove a spring around each guide. This method avoids unbalancing the system.
y Turn switch to "0".
y Connect the plug 2 phases + earth (trolley).
y Put switch in position 1.
y Adjust the thermostat (optimum temperature 80° C).
y Preheat for a quarter of an hour.
y Insert plates and place the lid. If plates are cold and fully loaded, 2 hours are required to reach 60°C.
y At maximum temperature use the handles on the lids. Lids and the top of trolley may be very hot.
SERVICE
y When the device switches on nothing lights :
- Check the electrical wiring.
- Check switch is position 1.
y The equipment does not heat up :
- Check the thermostat adjustment.
- The safety thermostat cuts off the device - contact your retailer.
y For all other operations, contact a registered after-sales service provider.
y H05RNF power lead (trolley) or H07RNF (stack) 1 mm2 2P+T insulated, to be replaced by approved After Sales service.
MAINTENANCE
y Before maintenance, unplug the unit.
y The unit must not be cleaned by water jet (except perforated trolley).
y For cleaning tubes, pull out them from the top.
y Control board : clean it with care. Only use a sponge with soap and water.
y Let the trolley cool down before working on it.
y General information on stainless steel : The term "stainless steel" can cause some confusion. It is steel which "resists" to corrosion in certain conditions.
Any type of stainless steel can be corroded:
- austenitic, e.g. "stainless steel 304" also called 18/10.
- ferritic, e.g. "F17" or "F18TNb".
Resistance to corrosion of stainless steel results from the existence of a passive layer of chromium oxide which is renewed spontaneously when in contact
with the air. Any phenomenon interfering with the creation of this layer is likely to cause corrosion.
This is why stainless steel surfaces must be regularly rid of miscellaneous contamination which may damage the level of resistance of the passive layer,
and also ensure the maintenance steps are observed. (Preparation to cleaning / cleaning / rinsing / disinfection / rinsing / drying).
Regular maintenance with extended rinsing with water is the best method to renew and maintain the passive layer.
Each of the steps linked with maintenance presents risks of damaging the passive layer: using hard water / overdosing detergents / using chlorine-based
detergents / food residue on the products / insufficient rinsing.....
Whenever corrosion appears, the element or step having led to it must be identified.
Advice :
- maintain stainless steel surfaces clean and dry. Ensure there is a sufficient flow of air.
- clean daily to remove scale, grease and any food residue. Corrosion can form under these layers by lack of air inlet.
- daily cleaning can be performed with a damp cloth. If necessary :
* use soapy water, cleaning products with low chloride content, javel-free detergents, window degreasers.
* remove hard stains with a non metallic brush (plastic material, natural bristles or stainless steel wool).
- do not scratch the surfaces with metals other than stainless steel, and more particularly, never use iron brushes.
- remove fresh rust stains with soft abrasive agents or fine emery cloth.
- for larger stains, use hot oxalic acid with a 2-3% concentration. If necessary, apply a treatment with nitric acid concentrated at 10%.
After treatment, wash thoroughly with water and wipe.
The use of acid is reserved to skilled persons and complying with regulations.
Product to ban :
- Javel water and chlorine based products
- hydrochloric acid
- iron oxide abrasive powders.
