7) AIR FILTER MAINTENANCE
1. Clean air xcreen on the recoil starter frequently using a stiff bristled
brush.
2. A dirty air cleaner may cause difficult starting. Check frequently and
clean.
Never run engine without air cleaner.
Dry inner element completely before reinstalling.
Do not use inflammable solvents to clean the foam in-
sert in the air filter.

8) MOVING
To move your machine of its storage place up to the ground to be worked, you can:
- Push the machine if the ground is very flat and without obstacles, engine in stop
position, gearshift in neutral position, and by raising slightly the handlebars so that
cutting blades don't touch the ground.
- Start the engine, position the gearshift on 1st or 2nd speed forward, then activate
the clutch handle.
WARNING: Never position the gearshift on «front rotation cutting blades» or «back rotation cutting
blades» during the moving operations.
9) STORAGE
Keep your tiller in a weatherproof, dry building.
If stored for over 30 days, these steps will protect basic engine parts from gum deposits and will ease restoring your
tiller to service.
a. Drain fuel tank, stainer and carburetor. Run engine until it stops.
b. Drain oil from engine and refill with oil.
c. Remove spark plug, for about 5 cc of engine oil into the cylinder, slowly pull the starter handle of the recoil starter
2 or 3 times, and reinstall the spark plug.
d. Clean entire tiller, including cylinder fins blower housing and air screen.
e. Clean both resistance stake and depth stake.
Remove grass and mud and oil the rubbing surfaces.
f. Rempve the outer side shiel and rotary tine shaft.
Clean the rotary tine shaft and inside of tine shaft. Wash with penetrating oil.
Apply grease and reassemble.
NOTE : Do not remove the strainer from fuel tank when filling.
WARNING : Experience indicates that alcohol blended fuels can attract moisture wich leads to separation and for-
mation of acids during storage.
Acidic gas fcan damage the fuel system of engine while in storage.
To avoid product problems, the fuel system should be emptied before storage of 30 days or longer.
Drain the gas tank, start the engine and let it run until the fuel lines and carburetor are empty.
Use fresh unleaded fuel next season.
10) TROUBLE SHOOTING
Not run when the clutch lever enganges
The belt is extended and slipped
The wire is extended
No differential when the differential lever moved to ON
The differential wire is extended
