10. Commissioning
10.1 Commissioning of the outdoor station
After inserting the batteries the power LED [54] lights green for 5 seconds only.
Now the outdoor station is in standby operation. If the power LED lights red the
batteries are weak and should be replaced.
If the outdoor station is powered by the mains adapter the power LED [54]
lights green for 5 seconds and then flashes once per minute to indicate the
standby operation.
10.2 Commissioning of the indoor station
! Remove the protective foil from the monitor [33].
! Press the on/off button [35]. The Power-LED [54] lights blue to indicate
the standby operation.
! The Lithium battery starts charging automatically when the mains adapter
is connected. Let the battery charge for 8 hours before portable use of the
indoor station (without the mains adapter). Pay attention to the Battery-
charge LED [55]:
! Lights green:
battery charging, leave mains adapter connected
until LED goes off
! Lights red:
battery charge low, monitor will automatically
switch off within 3 minutes
! Not illuminated:
battery is charged
! To turn off the indoor station press the on/off button [35] for up to 3
seconds until the message "Power OFF" is displayed on the monitor.

11. Basic operation

! If the outdoor station is powered using the mains adapter and the indoor
station is in standby operation the camera picture can be viewed at any
time by pressing the direction button
automatically switch off after one minute. This function is not available if
the outdoor station is powered by batteries, in this case the message "no
signal" is displayed on the monitor.
! If the doorbell button [10] is pressed a chime is heard from the indoor
station, and also as confirmation from the outdoor station. The camera
image appears on the monitor [33]. If no further button is pressed the
camera image switches off after one minute.
! Whilst the camera image is displayed the sound at the microphone [6] of
the outdoor station can be heard through the speaker [56] of the indoor
station. Adjust the volume by pressing the direction button [53]
or
VOL+. The set volume (between 0 and 6) is displayed for a short
time on the monitor.
! To speak with the visitor press the button [52]

! If a door release is fitted to the outdoor station this can be activated
through a 12 V DC impulse by pressing the button [50]

! In low ambient light levels the infrared LEDs [12] will be activated by the

station is illuminated. In order to obtain a better image in darkness

! If the indoor station does not react to the pressing of the doorbell button,
but the chime is confirmed at the outdoor station, first check that the indoor
station is in standby operation (power LED [54] lights blue). Then reduce
the distance between the indoor and outdoor station. If there is still no
reaction to the doorbell signal then the stations must be paired with each
other (see chapter 12.2). The strength of the received wireless signal is
indicated in the top left hand corner of the monitor. Up to 4 vertical bars
next to the antenna symbol indicate the reception strength: no bars = no
signal, 1 bar = poor reception, ....4 bars = optimal reception.

12. Advanced operation

12.1 On-Screen Menu

The settings in sections 12.2 to 12.5 can be made using the on-screen menu:
! Select the on-screen menu by pressing the Menu button [35].
! Press the buttons [53]

! If no direction button is pressed with a period of approx. 20 seconds the on-
screen menu will be automatically exited.

12.2 Camera Setup

Pairing of indoor and outdoor station
The stations in the set are already paired with each other in the factory. If there
is no connection they should be paired again:

12.3 Recorder Setup

Video and audio sequences can be recorded after inserting an SD card (max.
32 GB, not supplied) in the SD card slot [36]. Whilst a camera image is
displayed on the monitor recording can be started and stopped by repeated
