5.2 Cleanness

Ensure that the cleanliness of this product is maintained. In order to do this :
Regularly clean the outside of the pressure reducer with lint-free cloth and alcohol (all other
cleaning methods are prohibited).
The indicator pressure of gauges may have incompatibilities with isopropyl alcohol. When cleaning
these, use ethyl alcohol (ethanol).
The inside of the pressure reducer must not be cleaned (this operation is carried out at the factory).
However, it is recommended to flush the pressure reducer with a neutral gas before putting it into
service, or after a long storage period.

5.3 Checks

Whenever a cylinder is changed:
•
Check that the pressure regulator shows no visible signs of damage.
•
Clean the pressure regulator using the procedure described above.
•
After each installation operation, make sure that the functions of the pressure reducing valves operate
correctly.

5.4 Repair

All repairs of the pressure regulator must be carried out by S.M.T., in order to guarantee the safety and
performance of the unit.

5.5 Servicing

Although these devices are very robust, they do require periodic inspection. This work requires a certain
number of precautions to be taken, and must be carried out by our services.
The periodicity of this inspection depends essentially on the manner in which the device is used (intensive,
normal or occasional use); it must be studied by the sales manager in agreement with the customer.
It shall on no account exceed 5 years.

CONFORMITY

SMT products (supply board, pressure regulator, valves, etc) satisfy to requirement of article 4 §3
of 2014/68/UE directive concerning pressurized equipment (PED).

These equipments integrate pressure relief valve or safety which shall not be « CE » marked,
according to paragraph 2 of annex II.
In other case, pressure relief valves and safety devices shall be « CE » marked.
