9. Shipment (Fig. 2)
The unit is supplied with a self-supporting steel frame for transportation with forklifts.
The length of the forks should be greater than 1100 mm.
See the technical data manual for the weight of each unit.
10. Installation and environmental conditions
For installation is it important to respect the environmental limit conditions, which are:
Temperature: from - 25°C to + 50°C;
Relative humidity: from 30% to 95%;
Degree of protection: version OPEN IP30 / CLOSED IP44.
For conditions other than those indicated, adequate packing will be provided with additional instructions.
For installation, follow these rules:
-
The unit should be installed in places where there is not a continuous presence of personnel.
-
Allow access to the place only by specialized technical personnel.
For the construction and design of the place of installation, certain risks have to be taken into account:
- Fire hazard;
- Risk of poisoning;
- Oil leaks;
- Noise.
-
Provide enough room for maintenance, Hmin = 2.7 m.
-
Guarantee the minimum dimensions indicated, which are net of any extra room required by pipelines or other.
-
Opening the door of the power panel should not obstruct the escape route.
-
In case of unit in soundproof booth, increase the minimum dimensions by 20 cm to simplify removal of the
panels for maintenance.
-
Provide an access door large enough for the unit and all its parts to pass through.
-
The space in front of the door should be left free for any movement that may have to be done.
-
Minimum door dimensions: 1.2 m x 2.4 m - opening outward.
-
Guarantee for all surfaces a resistance to fire REI 120.
-
Guarantee a floor resistant to oil stains, with sufficient resilience for the concentrated loads of the unit and
fastening of the standing buffers.
-
The areas of the engine room should be of sufficient size and suitable equipped for the levels of acoustic
emission reported in the Manual of Technical data: normal version 85 - 96 dB (A) / muffled version < 8 dB (A).
Note: Refer to the standards in force in the countries where the unit is installed.
Ventilation
The engine room should have adequate ventilation to ensure:
-
Maintenance of the temperature of the unit within the working limits.
-
Elimination of any vapors and gas released by the unit in case of breakdown.
-
Adequate air exchange through openings for natural ventilation, otherwise forced ventilation should be
provided.
Protect the openings with screens to prevent the entrance of insects or rodents.
For the air vents proceed as follows:
NATURAL VENTILATION (Fig. 3)
Provide at least two openings, one near the floor and the other near the ceiling with a net area of:
