FITTING
1.
Remove bumper. (SEAT – 5 tip screws each side, 9 screws on lower edge and 1 bolt each side behind rear trim
panels). (AUDI – 3 Torx head screws around each wheel arch, 2 along lower edge of rear panel, 2 on plastic
boot closing panel and 6 hidden beneath it – Note: this panel is not easy to remove as it is secured by 5 'velcro'
pads and on some vehicles glue!).

Remove bumper beam and discard (or retain for fitment on removal of towbar). Remove tape and mastic
covering mounting points on outer faces of chassis. Insert Side Arms (D) into chassis and secure at existing
holes using Bolts (E).
3.
Attach Cross-Bar (A) to Side Arms (D) using Nuts (F) with Flat Washers. Tighten all bolts.
4.
Cut bumper as shown below. Re-fit bumper.
5.
Attach Centre Tube (C) to Cross Bar (A) using Bolts (G). Tighten bolts.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z1) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm , M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
