a) Turning on/off / Selecting a measuring function
• The product is off when the rotary switch (3) is at OFF
position (Fig. 2). Turn off the product after use.
• Use the rotary switch to select the individual measuring
functions. Automatic range selection is active for some
measuring functions. This feature automatically sets the
appropriate measuring range for each application. The LCD
shows
(E).
Important! Make sure you have selected the proper measuring function before
conducting measurements. Select the proper measuring function before connecting the
multimeter to the test object.
b) HOLD function
• The HOLD function freezes the current measurement on the LCD so you can read or
protocol it without any rush.
• Push the HOLD/
and the display shows
• To turn off the HOLD function, push the HOLD/
measuring function.
c) Current measurement "A"
The multimeter features a folding current clamp (1) for non-contact current measurement. The
sensors in the clamp detect the magnetic field surrounded by the live conductors.
Make sure that the conductor always passes through the middle of the clamp (observe
arrow markings) and that the clamp remains closed.
Only ever clamp one cable at a time.
Measurement of alternating currents (A
1. Turn on the product with the rotary switch (3) and select measuring function A
shows < AC > and < A >.
2. The display automatically sets to zero when the clamp is closed.
