1. Applications
Thank you for buying the PEM400. Read this manual attentively before bringing the device into service. This barrier
sensor is suitable for various applications : indoor/outdoor perimeter security system, window or door protection (when
mounting space is limited) and protection indoors/outdoors : sliding doors, terrace, etc.
Important : The warranty automatically becomes void if the user personally tries to repair or modify the device. The
warranty also becomes void in case of damage caused by inappropriate use or the disregard of standard safety
prescriptions in general and those in this manual in particular. Velleman Inc. does not accept responsibility for personal
injury caused by the disregard of the safety instructions in this manual. This also goes for all types of consequential loss.

• 4 beams – 105cm long
• aluminium anti-UV housing with ABS side panel
• terminal block connection
• anti-tamper circuit triggers the alarm if the power is cut or the end cap is removed
• flat aluminium housing resists extreme temperatures/condensation/rain
• 4 separate photoelectric beam sensors: alarm can be programmed to trigger when 1 beam or 2 adjacent beams
are cut simultaneously
• alarm: when or two adjacent beams are broken
• TX power adjustment: normal/strong
• N.O./N.C./common relay output
• mounting hardware included
• no synchronising wires required
• LED alignment indicator
• tamper switch
